Assistant Planner in HCM

Job Description:

1/ Reporting & Forward Planning

  • Conduct analysis and provide regular and ad hoc reports to support robust and commercial decision making by the Merchandise team and wider business
  • Assist the Merchandise Planner in planning sales and stock for core styles
  • Assist the Merchandise Planner in quantifying size curves and submitting for production
  • Assist the Merchandise Planner in developing, implementing and monitoring OTB by category including intake reconciliation
  • Proactively build consolidation plan for post-sale consolidations into outlets to support outlet channel sales
  • Participate in meetings to assist in building the overall merchandise strategy

2/ Allocations & Replenishment

  • Build store Allocation Plan to execute the merchandise strategy determined by the business
  • Manage the process of ensuring that product flows appropriately from warehouse to stores in line with Allocation Plan
  • Proactively monitor inventory at a store and category level and take remedial action to ensure inventory is balanced and drives sales
  • Maximise seasonal sell throughs by proactively consolidating inventory between locations
  • Specify model stock levels on appropriate product to maximise sales and ensure inventory is balanced between stores in line with performance
  • Monitor the dispatch of orders and liaise with third-party logistics provider to ensure dispatch KPIs are met for all orders

3/ Store Support

  • Actively push information downstream to pre-empt questions enabling our stores and operations team to drive sales and maximise productivity
  • Register products and markdowns with the relevant concession retailer to ensure that all product scans correctly and at the correct price
  • Represent the Merchandise team by being the primary store contact for Merchandise queries
  • Conduct regular store visits to monitor outcomes and gather feedback of the execution of the merchandise strategy

4/ Projects

  • Suggest methods for process improvement to gain efficiencies and promote best practice
  • Actively contribute to business and departmental projects


Job Requirements:

  • Have experience in a similar role in the retail industry
  • Show proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
