Instructional Designer in PH

  • Research, design and develop engaging courseware to support the workforce with daily role responsibilities and opportunities for professional development.
  • Work with key stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to create suitable and appropriate strategies to learning and development needs.
  • Coordinate and participate in short and long term learning and development projects
  • Monitor the effectiveness of learning strategies and discuss options for improvement
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the L&D work plan
  • Support the L&D team, providing quality customer service and solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create, design and develop innovative, flexible/blended learning programs using and applying adult learning principles and the 70:20:10 framework
  • Oversee the design and development of learning materials ensuring the application of performance based or skill based training instructional design
  • Create engaging learning activities and captivating course content designed to achieve the job application of skills and provide professional development opportunities
  • Provide input and feedback from learners into the redesign and improvement of learning programs. Update course content reflecting identified improvements.
  • Design instructor guides, activities, job aids, user documents, cheat sheets, assessments and evaluations
  • Create raw content into storyboards and interactive PDF
  • Maintain a customer focus at all times and a commitment to deliver service excellence
  • Coordinate the testing, review, piloting and sign-off of materials with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and key sponsors
  • Develop and maintain consistent instructional design standards for all learning
  • Develop and maintain Learning and Development templates, standards and file structures
  • Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Function as an effective, positive team member
  • Maintain active knowledge of work health and safety practices and procedures
  • Adhere to all policy and procedures
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as required
  • Undertake project work as determined by the business

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years relevant experience in similar role
    Relevant degree/qualification in HR, L&D or Training & Assessment (highly desirable)
  • Specific Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent project management and influencing skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage completing priorities
  • Proven experience in the design of blended and effective eLearning activities and resources.
  • Demonstrated experience using e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 or similar
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms, technologies and learning management systems
  • Experience with an LMS in an administration capacity (desirable)
  • Consultancy experience within a learning context (desirable)
  • Comfortable with ongoing change
  • Effective and flexible problem-solving ability
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of leadership and provide SME support
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Capacity to engage constructively and respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities, to achieve high quality outcomes.
