E-commerce Specialist – J-1761


This role is a vital support to the client’s online department that manages websites for members as well as their own corporate websites.  You will work closely with the Ecommerce Manager, website developers, the marketing and category teams to ensure their member’s Shopify sites content is consistent and accurate, they are providing a great consumer experience, and ultimately drive revenue for their members.  For the client’s websites, you will support the content updates and ensure websites are accurate, comply to branding guidelines and are easy to navigate.

You will be a real go-getter, someone who is highly organised and passionate about Ecommerce.  The client’s purpose is to support small business owners and suppliers therefore your fast response to their support requests will be crucial to ensuring their digital presence is not compromised.




  • Member website management – coordinate the deployment of new member websites; assist members with website maintenance; ensuring new product uploads are categorised and tagged appropriately to provide frictionless user journeys; continual range updates and identify gaps, review and improve based on engagement and analysis; assist in the development and uploading of monthly catalogues; managing inbound tickets from members and providing timely updates; work with marketing to execute digital marketing campaigns for members; audit members sites and links for relevance and accuracy as well as recommending improvements
  • Website development – Collect development requests and work with the Ecommerce Manager to identify valid opportunities; implement website optimisations as well as conducting UAT to ensure updates are fully functional; document and review website updates in Confluence; plan the rollout of new features to themes for members within the category in accordance with priorities set by the Ecommerce Manager
  • Corporate Websites – manage the content updates on the corporate websites; execute periodic updates to ensure a steady supply of relevant content; maintain accuracy of member listings in store locators
  • Website reporting – collate and distribute member website reports, using Google Analytics and other tools; identify opportunities for performance improvements; reporting on inbound tickets and identifying opportunities to address through training

B2B Supplier Portal


  • Upload data and assets into the portal
  • Manage the accuracy of product information, including updates and deletions
  • Product Management – assist with identifying issues with product content and provide reporting back to the Category and IT teams regarding missing information; provide insight into product categorisations

  • Member Training & Education: assist with the creation of resources for members in the form of manuals and videos
  • Support the Business Services team – assist with extranet site administration

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing websites on Shopify and using content management systems
  • A flexible agile, collaborative team-work approach to tasks and responsibilities
  • Experience in coordinating and delivering projects within a given timeframe
  • Experience deriving insights from Google Analytics and other reporting tools
  • Basic knowledge of HTML is highly desirable but not essential
  • Experience building and maintaining B2B customer relationships (highly desirable)
  • Attention to detail and strong eye for all website elements
  • Experience within Digital Marketing (Social Media, SEO or SEM) is a bonus
  • General business acumen
  • Commercially savvy with a creative and entrepreneurial mind set to deliver and execute new ideas
  • High level of computer literacy in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Outlook and the Adobe Creative Suite
