Position Purpose

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will assist in developing and be responsible for implementing, our Social Media strategy in order to increase our online presence and assist the business in meeting its objectives.

 

Accountabilities

  • Assist the Marketing Manager in developing and maintaining our social media strategy, including defining metrics and reporting
  • Assist the Marketing Manager to define social media campaigns in support of business objectives
  • Create, schedule and manage engaging, informative & effective social media text, image and video content
  • Support social media content across various social media assets, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook
  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends
  • Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new products
  • Measure web traffic and monitor SEO
  • Report on actual Vs forecast metrics and cost for each social media campaign
  • Oversee daily management of social media channels
  • Keep abreast of the latest social media best practices, digital channels and technologies
  • Generate monthly reports of social media activity

 

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related discipline
  • Web & social media copywriting training

 

KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience as a social media coordinator or similar role
  • Practical experience of using social media for brand awareness and impressions
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in using and leveraging social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter and LinkedIn to grow engagement and followers
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Experience completing audience and buyer persona research
  • Good understanding of social media metrics
    • Australian legal and regulatory requirements as they apply to online, including SPAM Act and Competition & Consumer Act
