As we close out the fiscal year 2024–2025, we’re proud to reflect on a year marked by business growth, new and stronger client partnerships, engaging employee activities, and the continued expansion of our incredible teams across Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. These remarkable milestones speak to the strength of our people and the trust of our clients.
DRIVING GROWTH IN AUSTRALIA–THAILAND TRADE
Last June, ASW CEO and Australia Thailand Business Council (ATBC) President Joe Fussell was among the distinguished speakers at the networking event “Thailand: A Global Business Hub”, held in Sydney.
Organised by ATBC and the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), the business briefing created valuable opportunities to expand ASW’s connections. Joe shared insights on establishing ASW’s footprint in Thailand and the benefits that this brings to both local professionals and international partners.
Speaking of Thailand, Joe visited our ASW Thailand team last April for a meaningful celebration of Songkran, the Thai New Year. He was joined by Brendan Cunningham, our Regional Business Development Director at ASW Consulting. A wonderful way to connect and embrace local culture!
PROMOTING OUR INTERNATIONAL STAFFING SOLUTIONS
ASW Head of Growth Daniel Breese was present at the Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC) Market Exchange in Melbourne and Brisbane to showcase our international talent partnering services. With regular participation in UAC events, ASW is steadily building its reputation as a trusted remote staffing partner in the Australian insurance space.
NURTURING A NEW GENERATION OF ASW LEADERS
We’re happy to report the successful conclusion of our Leadership Development Program for this year. Led by our Director of Talent, Sarah Lourie, the program equipped participants with the essential skills required to thrive as team leaders in today’s dynamic workplace.
The Train-the-Trainer initiative was a key part of the program, encouraging participants to share their new skills with colleagues. This helped foster a ripple effect of leadership development across the organisation.
PARTNERS IN MAKING A DIFFERENCE
May 22 was Philippine–Australia Friendship Day. To make it more meaningful, ASW and our client partner Elliott Insurance Brokers teamed up to visit one of the Aeta communities in the Philippines.

Led by ASW CEO Joe Fussell, members of ASW and the Elliott Insurance team from ASW Philippines focused on listening, learning, and offering support. Their efforts ranged from delivering essential supplies to exploring ways on how to improve power and internet connectivity to the area. These initiatives not only deepen our relationships with client partners but also allow us to make a positive impact in communities that need it most.
HONOURING LOYALTY & LEGACY
We celebrated our 10-Year Club members — employees who have been with us for 10 years or more — by hosting a gala dinner to recognise their commitment, dedication, and loyalty to ASW. Here’s to more members joining the Club soon!

FIRST-EVER FAMILY DAY
It was a day well spent with loved ones as we held our first-ever ASW Family Day! Watching everyone enjoy fun activities alongside their partners and family members reminded us how important it is to cherish quality time with those who matter most.
With the start of FY 2025-26, we look forward to building on our success and reinforcing our reputation as a reliable partner in the international business community, providing exceptional talent for remote teams.
