1. Hi! Please introduce yourself. What is your role and your responsibilities at ASW?

Hi, I’m Nika, and I’m the Office Manager at ASW Thailand. I’m proud to be the first employee of ASW Thailand and grateful for the opportunity to help establish the ASW brand in this country. My role involves ensuring that our workplace operates smoothly and efficiently. I oversee everything from office operations to creating a positive work environment for our team. I also focus on supporting staff needs, coordinating events, and fostering a sense of community in the office.

2. What was your career like before joining ASW?

I worked as a People & Business Administrator at Oozou Co., Ltd. in Bangkok. I managed payroll, social security, taxes, and provident funds, while also coordinating reimbursement claims for both local and remote employees. I also ensured smooth office operations by coordinating repairs and negotiating vendor contracts. This role required strong organizational skills and adaptability, which I have carried into my position at ASW.

3. As our first employee in ASW Thailand, what was that like for you? What inspired you to join ASW?

Being the first employee of ASW Thailand is an exciting challenge. It gives me the chance to help build our Thailand office and shape its culture and operations. I am proud to be part of this journey and to help establish ASW’s presence here. I was inspired to join ASW after my interview with the CEO. I learned about ASW’s values and its focus on people. The commitment to creating a positive and supportive work environment left a strong impression on me. This made me confident that ASW is the right place for me to grow and make a difference.

4. What challenges do you face as an office manager? How do you solve problems that you encounter?

One challenge I often face is balancing the different needs of the team while keeping the office running smoothly. To solve problems, I stay proactive, listen to feedback, and use resources wisely. I focus on clear communication and teamwork to address logistical issues and team concerns effectively.

5. How do you inspire productivity in the office? How do you encourage others to stay motivated?

I boost productivity by encouraging teamwork and creating a positive work environment where everyone feels valued. Celebrating achievements and organizing team-building activities help keep the team motivated.

6. What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned so far in your career journey?

The most important lesson I’ve learned is not to work solely for money. While money is essential, it shouldn’t be the only reason to stay in a role. Finding a job that offers more—whether it’s great benefits, a positive atmosphere, or supportive coworkers—can make all the difference. When you enjoy the environment and the people you work with, you feel more motivated and fulfilled.

I enjoy working out. It helps me stay active, clear my mind, and maintain a healthy balance between my personal and professional life. Exercise has become an essential part of my routine and keeps me energized.

8. Who is the biggest influence in your personal or professional life and why?

My parents have taught me the values of hard work, resilience, and compassion. Their constant support and trust in me give me strength. Their example motivates me to strive for excellence in everything I do while staying grounded, no matter the challenges I face.

9. If you could bring one aspect of Thai culture into the global workplace, what would it be and why?

It would be the concept of “sanook” (fun) which means finding joy in work and life. Embracing this mindset promotes positivity, teamwork, and creativity, all of which can greatly enhance any workplace.
