Merchandise Assistant in HCM

Job Description:

1/ Allocations & Replenishment

  • Ensure that product flows appropriately from warehouse to stores in line with Allocation Plan
  • Proactively monitor inventory at a store and category level and take remedial action to ensure inventory is balanced and drives sales
  • Drive sales and maximise in season sell through by ensuring existing warehouse stock is leveraged to support store performance
  • Assist the Assistant Planner in specifying model stock levels on appropriate product to maximise sales and ensure inventory is balanced between stores in line with performance
  • Monitor the dispatch of orders and liaise with third-party logistics provider to ensure dispatch KPIs are met for all orders

2/Store Support

  • Assist in delivering information to pre-empt questions enabling our stores and operations team to drive sales and maximise productivity
  • Represent the Merchandise team by responding to store queries via phone or email within specified time frame
  • Conduct regular store visits to monitor outcomes and gather feedback of the execution of the merchandise strategy

3/Buying

  • Assist the buying team in preparing the seasonal buys in accordance with the current strategy and OTB requirements
  • Assist with collating information required for the buying of the range
  • Ensure the buying documents and buying boards are maintained with the most up to date and accurate information
  • Analyse the weekly trade and monthly merchandise reports to gain an understanding of product performance
  • Management of the seasonal shipment samples
  • Provide operational and analytical support to the buying team
  • Conduct regular competitive shopping to gain awareness of other relevant brands’ product and activities

4/Projects

  • Suggest methods for process improvement to gain efficiencies and promote best practice
  • Actively contribute to business and departmental projects
  • Conduct analysis and provide regular and ad hoc reports to support robust and commercial decision making by the Merchandise team and wider business

 

Job Requirements:

  • Have experience in a similar role in the retail industry
  • Show proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Have a sense of urgency
