Service Desk Engineer (Level 2-3) in PH

Job Description:

  • To be successful in this role the candidate will need to have a sound technical knowledge of networks and associated server infrastructure.
  • The role will require management and administration of internal IT systems, in addition to customer LAN/server environments.
  • The candidate will support the Managed Services team by providing back of house support for tickets generated through event triggers and customer service requests.
  • The candidate will also be required to monitor and support for customer back-up solutions ensuring customer infrastructure is recoverable based on agreed retention cycles.
  • The candidate may also be required to provide support for critical failures for customer environments and have skills to manage service failures through to resolution, this will include management of customer expectations.

Job Requirements:

Required Skills:

  • Candidate must have an experience with cloud based solutions and solution deployments.
  • Has a relevant experience and certification with the following technologies: Windows Server (including SQL, Exchange and DFS), VMware, HyperV, Office 365, VeeaM
  • Professional experience in ConnectWise and LabTech, Back up and back up technologies, Switching and Routing, Cloud services and cloud migrations, Security devices and management, AWS, Azure
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Candidate must have excellent communication skills.
  • Amenable to work autonomously and have a proven track record of successful systems infrastructure management.
  • Amenable to work in BGC Taguig (Dayshift)

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience in ITIL
  • Project management knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Lync, SharePoint and or Skype for Business
  • Citrix
