1. Hello, Team IPAR! Can you tell us more about the role you play for our client?

Theebha: I’ve been part of ASW for nearly four years, contributing to the success and growth of our Rehabilitation Assistant (RA) services. I support the Team Leader in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the KL RA team and ensure smooth delivery of the rehabilitation consultant support. I play a key part in onboarding and training RA staff, and I conduct monthly supervision sessions to help team members stay on track and achieve their goals.

Neevs: I mostly help the consultant at IPAR with conducting telephonic and online research, liaising with employers in Australia to perform unique labour research for injured workers, drafting reports, arranging appointments and so on. I will reach my two years with ASW!

Pavithira: I support the Rehabilitation Consultants with their day-to-day tasks. Some of my responsibilities include liaising with clients (under supervision) to provide updates or reminders and assisting with the preparation of job-seeking resources like résumés, among others.

Eve: I act as a first point of contact, provide coordination and administrative support to ensure a smooth return-to-work process for my clients. I will be hitting my one-year mark at IPAR soon.

Jasmine: I’ve been with IPAR a little over three years, assisting with administrative and operational support to our consultants.

Harshini: I assist our Rehabilitation Consultants in delivering tailored support to injured workers, helping them recover and return to work safely and sustainably. I have been working with IPAR as a Rehabilitation Assistant for over two years now.

2. Can you share a proud moment or a success story from your team’s work?

Pavithira: One proud moment was when we successfully sent out a Positivum Assessment and received a completed response back from the client. The IPAR Consultant shared positive feedback on the quality and timeliness of our follow-up work, which was a great team win!

Jasmine: I’d say it would be our long-standing relationship with our client. We have consistently collaborated to refine processes and implement innovative support strategies. The efforts we put in are always acknowledged and appreciated, and that’s particularly gratifying.

Harshini: When our team received an email from a Rehabilitation Consultant expressing how valuable our support is to their work. They mentioned how much they rely on us and how lost they would be without our help.

3. What are the essential qualities to thrive in your team when working with a healthcare-focused organisation?

Neevs: I would say having empathy and compassion with perspective, clear communication, teamwork, adaptability, and just continuous learning.

Eve: I think attention to detail is essential to ensure accuracy when managing sensitive information and producing high-quality outcomes. Empathy is also crucial for us to understand and support clients, especially since most of them are likely going through challenging times living with their injuries.

Jasmine: The dedication in managing sensitive and critical information with the utmost care, facilitating the successful return to work for injured workers.

Neevs: Our team is very helpful with one another, and I think that support is very motivating. Not to mention, we have amazing leaders who are also very helpful and kind!

Pavithira: We take time to learn more about each other and support each other both professionally and personally.

Harshini: It has been reassuring to know that my concerns are heard and addressed, this has truly kept me motivated. There is also a quarterly RA catch-up with “RA of the Quarter” award will be presented, and I must say it is definitely an encouragement to do better.

Theebha: On office days, we enjoy team lunches and regularly engage in team-building activities such as mind card games, collaborative task calibration sessions, and even watching movies. These moments not only strengthen our bond but also make coming into the office something we genuinely look forward to.
