1. Hi! Please introduce yourselves and your role in ASW.
Khoa: I have been a software developer for 20 years, with over 7 years of professional experience at ASW. I have the privilege of serving as the team leader of the Premex team in Vietnam
Truong Anh: I am Truong Anh, and I am a proud member of the Premex team. I joined ASW in 2019 as a software engineer and was promoted to software architect in 2022, a role I have embraced ever since. Outside of work, I am an avid traveller and enjoy playing billiards, activities that help me stay creative and balanced.
Quang: I graduated from the University of Science and have worked in software development for 9 years. I joined ASW in 2019 as a Senior .Net Developer, and I’m having such an amazing time here.
Phuong: I joined ASW 2.5 years ago as a full-stack developer.
2. How does your team stay motivated?
Khoa: Our primary source of motivation stems from the value we deliver to our clients. We develop a range of innovative software solutions designed to streamline their daily operations, reduce costs, and expand their business opportunities.
Truong Anh: Our team holds a monthly sharing session where each member shares their knowledge on various topics. These sessions cover technology, business insights, challenges encountered, and personal life experiences.
3. What challenges do you encounter as a team and how do you resolve them?
Quang: Since we are all developers, our team doesn’t have QA and BA. Lucky for us, our client is very nice, and they are ready to help us when we need it.
Phuong: Working remotely and across different time zones between Vietnam and the UK is the most challenging for me. We always enhance our communication skills to connect closely with our client, so we have enough information for our work the next morning.
4. Can you share a recent success story or achievement from your team?
Khoa: This was the launch of a new web application, the Upload Portal. We received two video messages from our clients who expressed their gratitude for the value it added to their operations.
Truong Anh: We spent about 10 days in the UK, visiting our client’s office, exploring various places, and immersing ourselves in the local culture. It was a fantastic trip that we all enjoyed together.
5. What advice/inspirational words would you like to share with your fellow ASW colleagues?
Khoa: Our core guiding principles are all for the benefit of our clients, and other team members, as these accomplishments represent our actual achievements.
Truong Anh: Each challenge we face is an opportunity for growth, and every success is a testament to our hard work and dedication. Our collective efforts make us stronger and drive us towards our common goals.
Phuong: The key to working remotely effectively is honesty and commitment. It can make the employee feel comfortable and contribute their best value.
Quang: “Teamwork makes the dream work.” That’s what I learned from our UK colleagues. It’s repeated every meeting and that’s very motivational to me.
