1. Hello, Team Symbio! Can you tell us more about the role you play for our client?

Huy: I’m the lead software engineer. I’ve been with ASW for 3 years. I manage the Fraud & Scam detection systems for calls and SMS, as well as the messaging platform that enables Symbio’s customers to send and receive SMS in Australia and New Zealand.

Nhan: I have been working in ASW for more than 2 years as a senior developer in the routing team.

Phat: I’m a software engineer with experience in full lifecycle development. I’ve been with ASW and Symbio for more than 3 years.

Sang: I’m a software engineer with ASW for approximately two years — embedded with the Sonar team — where we have direct responsibility for Symbio’s core backend services. Essentially, I work on the full lifecycle of our services, from development to deployment and operations.

An: I’m a technical lead engineer for the Sonar team. I’ve been with ASW for 3 years. My job involves maintaining existing software and design and develop new applications.

Phuc: I’m a senior software engineer at ASW since January 2025. I’m involved in 2 projects: Global Number Inventory (GNI) and Fraud & Messaging.

Dung: I’m a senior software engineer and been with ASW for about 1.5 years now. I mainly focus on designing, building, and maintaining backend services and integrations.

Dat: I’m a senior Cloud Engineer and I’ve been working at ASW for more than 2 years. I manage the cloud infrastructure and some on-premise platforms.

2. Our client partner Symbio has given great feedback about your team. What do you think has been the biggest reason for your team’s success?

Huy: Our success comes from strong ownership, high responsibility, solid technical expertise, and a proactive attitude. The team is enthusiastic and always willing to learn new things.

Phat: I think it is for the high quality of work from our team, our knowledge of the work, and our integrity at work.

Sang: Our team’s focus isn’t just on closing tickets; it’s on implementing solutions that are robust, scalable, and maintainable. We also prioritise transparent communication.

Phuc: We always support each other, even though we work in different projects/domains.

Dat: We always try our best to deliver the best solutions to client. We are also proactive about learning new technologies and apply them to the project.

Dung: Another important factor is the culture that ASW provides — we have many activities to connect and bond. These help us become closer, build trust, and maintain a positive team spirit.

3. How do you handle pressure when unexpected technical issues arise?

Nhan: Research and reach out to others when needed.

Phat: If it is fixable, I can do it immediately. But if it’s complex, I will stay away for about 10 mins, walk around, then I will jump back and debug it again.

Phuc: Like every other problem in life: analyse it, see what I can or can’t do, then seek help.

Dat: Stay calm and determine the impact then inform related people and then work together to fix the issues.

An: Take a deep breath and follow the run sheet.

Sang: I focus on understanding the immediate impact, identifying the affected components, and beginning a root cause analysis. I also collaborate with the team to architect a permanent, long-term solution.

4. If you were a tech gadget, what would it be and why?

Huy: 3D printer. I turn ideas into real, working solutions.

Phat: I may be a HUB adapter. I would love to share and connect with others. It’s the same with knowledge sharing.

Sang: I’d be a quantum computer. I’m drawn to that idea of massive parallel processing power and the potential to redefine what’s possible in science and technology.

An: A drone, so I can fly.

Phuc: Anything that doesn’t need to be re-charged, always ready to go, never lose energy.

Dat: I could be a smartwatch because I care about staying healthy.

5. How would you describe your team in three words?
