Underwriting Administrator/Business Process Specialist in Malaysia

Job Description:

To provide ongoing support to pods in Sydney.  The Underwriting role is primarily responsible for:

  • Ensure financial strategy to be implemented correctly
  • Maintain all clients’ accounts and policies in collaboration with paraplanner, CSM and adviser
  • Keep the pod’s up to date with the progress of all lodgement activity

Specific responsibilities/ Technical skills:

Ensure financial strategy to be implemented correctly

  • Good understanding of client’s situation and what they have accepted
  • Lodge superannuation, investment and insurance applications in accordance with strategy accepted by clients
  • Follow through with the applications by completing requirements, and/or solving any issues that may arise in collaboration (if required) with client service manager and/or adviser
  • Prepare correspondence in draft for communication with clients during the process and at completion of the strategy implementation

Maintain all clients’ accounts and policies in collaboration with Client Service Manager and adviser

  • Ensure insurances are paid up to date. If not, investigate the reason to assist clients in updating payment details
  • Investigate any requirements sent to Advice mailbox from service providers to solve problems arise

Assist advisers in accounts’ maintenance

  • Follow up dishonour notices

 

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advance/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree or equivalent.
  • Fluent communication in English (written and oral)
  • Able to work in Australian Working Hours (6AM – 3PM)
  • Proven track record in administration and detailed task and priority management skills
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Need to be adaptive and independent
  • Concentration on objectives, task driven with the ability to think on your feet, have proactive approach and work unsupervised
  • Ability to develop cohesive work environment with team members
  • Ability to develop a working knowledge of the Australian Superannuation and taxation system
  • Willingness to learn all areas of Financial Planning processes including Superannuation, Investments, Gearing, Retirement income, Tax minimization strategies and Personal & Key Man Insurance.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office applications and if possible, a working knowledge of XPlan or at least experience in FP software
  • Ability to organize and collate information and look at the bigger picture
