Founder & CEO
With over 30 years of experience in the IT industry and finance sector, Joe oversees strategic planning, operations, and management oversight of ASW from the Sydney head office and across four international locations. Previously at EML as CIO, he led an IT transformation in a period when EML grew from 100 staff in NSW to over 2,000 staff across Australia and Asia. Like all in the sector, Joe faced challenges attracting talent. As a result, in 2011 he established a team in Vietnam for software development. ASW was born!

General Manager, Finance
With 11 years of experience in personal injury and claims management as well as over 16 years’ experience in outsourced contract management and financial management, Anthony served as the Chief Operations Officer for Employers Mutual across NSW and South Australia. At present, he is a Non-Executive Director of the Leading Edge Group Limited.

General Manager, Business Development
With a background in professional sport, and more than 15 years’ experience as a multi-business owner in retail, events, equipment hire, and technology, Dan brings a practical, results-driven perspective to scaling high-performing teams.
He works closely with partners to provide strategic guidance on growth, operating models, and execution, and serves as the primary point of contact for new partnerships—shaping the customer experience from initial engagement through to long-term success.

General Manager, Corporate Services
Operating in four countries means operating under four different legal systems and four different commercial environments, each with their unique differences. Having been with ASW from day one, Michelle has been instrumental in the success of setting-up and scaling ASW’s overseas operations. Michelle’s knowledge and experience in working with a broad range of regulators, service providers, auditors and stakeholders have enabled ASW to deliver the services that our partners and ASW require, to help us grow together.

General Manager, People and Capability
Gizelle’s HR global experience has been conducive to retaining a qualified and diverse workforce capable of meeting the evolving needs of our clients and their businesses. This includes championing initiatives and best practices to recruit, retain talent and seek to develop an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes excellence and collaboration.

Director of Talent
With over 20 years of experience in HR and recruitment, Sarah has significant experience sourcing, selecting, and developing talent across the Asia Pacific and Southeast Asian regions. Her expertise in talent acquisition spans across agency, internal recruitment, and recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) roles. She has also led the HR strategy and People streams for both private and publicly-listed organisations. Sarah holds a BCA degree in HRIR and is currently studying a Graduate Diploma in Psychology.

General Manager, Account Management
Rebecca has sharpened her problem solving, forecasting, and organisational skills in her 20 years of corporate experience. She was an Executive Assistant to C-Suite Executives for 13 years at Westfield Limited Head Office (in Sydney and London), PriceWaterHouseCoopers, and EML. She then moved into Project Management at the Aldi Supermarkets Head Office, working on the Australian product launch for Aldi China.
In early 2019 Rebecca moved into the Account Management Team at ASW and has quickly climbed the ladder to Senior Account Manager then took over as General Manager in 2021. She has spearheaded the expansion of our Account Management Team, doubling in size across all our locations.

Regional Business Development Director
Brendan heads ASW Consulting, specialising in identifying and securing top talent across Thailand, Vietnam, and Southeast Asia. With over 25 years of experience in corporate training, executive recruitment, and leadership roles within the Australian-Thai Chamber of Commerce, Brendan combines cultural insight with strategic talent solutions, helping companies establish and scale operations while making career dreams a reality for candidates.

Client Success Partner
Tara plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless integration for new and existing client partnerships at ASW. With a strong background in client engagement and onboarding, she leads initiatives that equip clients with the tools and knowledge needed to build sustainable international teams. Her experience in managing client relationships and driving operational excellence makes her an integral part of ASW’s commitment to exceptional service and partnership growth.
Simon has been working in and leading teams in the world of talent for over 20 years. After building a career in Human Resources, he started the relationship management function at LinkedIn Australia in 2012. Since then Simon has led sales teams both internationally and here in Australia. These teams consult on all things skills, talent acquisition and talent development with many of Australia’s most innovative companies.
If Simon were to leave the tech world, you’d likely find him importing and roasting coffee beans.
Rob Chavan is a seasoned professional in the tech industry, with a wealth of experience helping businesses hire, develop and retain top talent. Born and raised in the Silicon Valley, Rob has always been surrounded by innovation and cutting-edge technology.
With over 12 years of industry knowledge under his belt, Rob has become a recognized expert in the field of talent management. He has worked with companies of all sizes and across various industries, helping them to build and maintain successful teams that drive business growth.
Rob spends his spare time competing in Ironman triathlons, with a specific goal of qualifying for the World Championship in Kona, Hawaii!
Nicole’s 8 years at LinkedIn have been spent evangelising how the best companies globally build their greatest asset: people. She has worked with both large and small organisations to support their organisational talent strategies. Today, Nicole leads our LinkedIn Learning business for ANZ helping organisations upskill and reskill their workforce to prepare for the future of work.
Nicole has spent 3 years working in North Asia at the cusp of the Covid pandemic where she was able to observe the cultural nuances that influence a company’s culture and success around the world. Since relocating back to her home in Sydney, she’s now leading a team of sales professionals who are working to solve today’s biggest talent challenge: How to engage and retain the best talent.
