It has been a fantastic year so far for our ASW family. We have just finished all of our company trips at some amazing resorts. It was a real pleasure to catch up with the team and watch our family spend some time together, mingling with work colleagues they may not have met before.
The year seems to be going so quickly that before we know it, we will be together again for our end-of-year parties, which I am really looking forward to. The internal team has organised some awesome venues and themes, as always.
Our headhunting company in Vietnam—The Talent Consultants (TTC) —has been growing its market share and placements which is really exciting. To align the business more closely to ASW, we have re-branded TTC to ASW Consulting.
We are always looking to improve our operations and the experience for our teams. So, over the next year, we will be running a development program for our team leaders and emerging team leaders. This will ensure our team leaders are equipped with the skills and knowledge to support their teams.
I am also excited to share that Riel Faustino, who has been with ASW for 10 years as one of our senior EML leaders and a valued member of the ASW family, will be joining our internal team. Utilising his years of experience, he will work with our partners and our teams to ensure we are all working as effectively and efficiently as possible. This is a very exciting development in our company, and I am looking forward to seeing the outcomes Riel will deliver.
LET’S ALL WELCOME ASW CONSULTING!
We are excited to announce that The Talent Consultants (TTC), our sister company in Vietnam, is proudly re-branding to ASW Consulting.
Whilst TTC has always been a fully owned subsidiary of ASW Global, we are now aligning them more directly by brand to the reputation, longevity, and leverage that ASW has. Their recruitment and headhunting operations will remain unchanged as they continue to bring high-quality service to the South East Asian region.
Let’s all welcome them officially as we continue our successful journey in creating the World’s Most Talented International Family! Visit the new website to learn more about ASW Consulting.
Our Account Management Team has been busy this quarter with lots of Partner visits which have included EML, EML Board of Directors, Allan Hall, Avant, iPartners, COG, Medhealth, Applied Wealth, Tempus Wealth, Steadfast Business Solutions, Symbio, Baker Group AU, and Smart Commercial Solar. It has been great to see so many clients visit their teams and work alongside them in the office.
Some of our staff members from the Medhealth and Barwon Investment Teams have been lucky enough to visit their client offices in Australia.

and 2 in Malaysia
12
new Line Managers across 3 locations
We have promoted our Vietnam Account Manager Tuyen Le Thi Thanh to Key Account Manager.
I was lucky enough to visit Vietnam and the Philippines in September and attend the Vietnam Company Trip. It was great to have clients from Medhealth, Allan Hall, EML and Tempus Wealth attend and be part of the fun.
In Q4 for 2023, we will be expanding our team to manage the growth with another Account Manager in the Philippines. We are continuing to review and improve our processes to further support our Partners and their team members. Over the next two months, your Local Account Manager will be discussing Christmas closures, utilising annual leaves during quiet periods, and nominations for Employee of the Year awards which are presented at our end-of-year functions.
SHAPING OUR PATH FORWARD
Q3 has been an exciting time for us, marked by memorable milestones, team-building events, and improvements to our HR processes. As we move into Q4, let’s take a moment to recap and outline our expectations for the remaining part of the year.
One of the standout moments in Q3 was our company trips that took place across all our ASW offices. We hope that the connections forged during these trips will continue to fuel innovation and creativity within our organisation.
We also implemented ASW HR Sessions, a streamlined booking system, that makes it easier for employees to speak with HR about any related topic. This system has been designed to enhance convenience, efficiency, and accessibility, aligning with our commitment to delivering timely HR support for everyone.
As we enter Q4, we eagerly anticipate our year-end parties. These events will provide us with the opportunity to come together as one big ASW family to celebrate the achievements of the past year, bid farewell to 2023, and usher in the new year with positivity and enthusiasm.
In addition to the festivities, we encourage all employees to actively participate in our annual employee engagement survey. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us understand your needs and concerns, and it guides us in shaping our HR initiatives for the future.
Q4 will see the rollout of our annual basic security awareness training. Cybersecurity is a top priority for our organisation, and this training is crucial in ensuring that our data and systems are protected. Your active participation and vigilance are essential in maintaining our robust security posture.
Your commitment to ASW has brought us this far, and we’re excited to see what we can achieve together in the remaining part of the year. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm. Here’s to a successful and fulfilling Q4!
ASW Consulting re-branded (from The Talent Consultants) in September to align with our global ASW brand. We recently held a small re-brand celebration in the office, and we are planning a bigger event for November. Big shout-out to the SOY team, who designed and produced amazing content, for helping us improve our branding collateral and marketing materials.
July was the biggest month ever for the ASW Consulting team—billing VND774 million—so it was great to see the hard work of the team pay off.
We had Cindy Nguyen, our new BDM, join us in August. She has been working hard on the sales strategy and delivering new business connections to ASW Consulting. Cindy has an extensive background in both sales and organisational development for global and local brands. She has worked for the Duxton Hotel, New World Hotel, and Dale Carnegie Vietnam, to name some notable brands. She has a passion for learning and development, also providing some part-time training at Ho Chi Minh University of Banking. Cindy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the Foreign Trade University. She has also graduated with a Pedagogical certificate as well as soft skill certificates. We love having Cindy with us—she’s made such a positive impact already!

CONNECTING AT THE COMPANY TRIPS
Our recent company trips have provided the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and connect outside of the office. The SOY Philippine team joined the ASW company trip at Henann Tawala & Alona Resort in Bohol whilst the Vietnam team had theirs at Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay. These trips not only strengthened our camaraderie but also re-fueled our collective creativity.
As we approach the last quarter of 2023, we at SOY are looking forward to more exciting projects, new partnerships, and making great memories along the way!
EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION
I received the Client Spotlight Award during the 2022 year-end party. The award came as a great surprise to me. I was so proud of achieving it. My contribution and efforts paid off.
Thank you so much, Jessie, for believing in me and assigning challenging tasks for me. Thanks to Willem, Kylie, Sonn, and Victoria for their enthusiastic guidance and support. Finally, I would like to say thanks to Steve for granting me the valuable opportunity to work for ASW and Unity.
PROMOTIONS AND ADVANCEMENTS
I was recently promoted to Business Analyst Team lead. In this role, my main responsibilities include providing support for Business Analyst professional development, expanding Business Analyst technical capability, cross-domain learning and flexibility in supporting business requirements.
This promotion has provided me with a platform to showcase my abilities and take on more challenging tasks. I now have a broader scope of influence and greater opportunities to contribute to the company’s success.
I think my dedication, consistent performance, effective communication, and ability to collaborate with teams played a crucial role in earning this promotion. My efforts to enhance my influence, technical capability, and leadership contributed to being recognized for the promotion.
I’ve recently been promoted to manage the KL IPAR team while continuing to manage the Manila team. In my new position, I am responsible for overseeing two geographically dispersed teams, with a focus on people and performance management.
This has made a significant impact on my career growth within ASW. It shows a vote of confidence from the client and ASW senior management in my leadership abilities and in my capacity to manage multiple teams in different locations. It’s an opportunity to gain valuable experience in cross-cultural management, team building, and strategic planning. This role allows me to further develop my time management, delegation, and problem-solving skills, which are important for career advancement.
I believe my track record of successfully managing the Manila team and achieving our performance targets demonstrated my ability to lead and deliver results. My ability to collaborate was also vital, as it enabled me to work effectively with my colleagues and other stakeholders. My commitment to continuous improvement and my willingness to take on new challenges also played a role in gaining the trust of the client and senior management in securing this promotion.
I was previously a QA Team Leader and I got promoted as a Group Manager in EML BAS NI in January 2023. As a group manager, I collaborate with other managers and team leaders in achieving our day-to-day metrics. This includes meeting the SLA and completing monthly deliverables and tasks. I also identify opportunities and risks, facilitate and monitor the implementation of action plans, and provide status reports to our Operations Manager and to our clients. I also design and evaluate strategies that boost efficiency and effectiveness across all tasks and roles within the group.
This career development has helped me in planning and designing workflows for a bigger group, with goals focused on quality and efficiency. I also get to refine my skills in project management, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
Being versed in Six Sigma and DMAIC played a big part in my career growth. I’ve worked on several projects within the QA team that resulted in positive changes in the team’s dynamics and productivity. Most importantly, the mentoring and guidance given by my QA manager, Ken Caoyonan, were very vital to my development that led me to grow within BAS.
I was promoted to Property Accounts Administrator in June 2023. Previously, I worked under accounts payable where I’ve managed the timely processing of invoices, vendor relations, and ensuring accurate financial transactions. My current role (accounts receivable) involves tracking and collecting payments from clients, reconciling accounts, and maintaining a positive cash flow. These dual experiences have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of financial management and the ability to contribute effectively to the financial operations of our client.
To me, the key factor that helped me in my promotion is my “soft skills”. While many individuals may share similar “hard skills”, what I wanted to develop more is the courage to act and try. Never rely on luck. Opportunities won’t come and knock on your door. Be proactive and create your own opportunity.
I’ve been promoted to the position of Senior System Engineer cum Project Coordinator. In this new role, my responsibilities include supporting the project management team in ongoing projects throughout all five phases of the project cycle, among other duties.
My new role growth has inspired me to pursue a deeper understanding of project management and refine my proficiency in managing various project phases. This journey has also strengthened my sense of team involvement, as I find myself consistently staying informed and engaged with critical team events.
My prior experience as a member of the project management team played a significant role in securing this promotion. I am currently working towards obtaining a project management certification to further enhance my skills and qualifications.
Our ASW Family had fun exploring new places and bonding together during our company trips. Congrats to our outstanding awardees and raffle winners at the gala dinner party!
