ASW’s First-ever Partnership Events in Melbourne and Sydney
Last May, ASW Global recently conducted its very first Partnership Events in Melbourne and Sydney. This is the start of our series of quarterly education and networking events. We want to strengthen our community of client partners by providing a dynamic platform to help them gain insights from experts on current talent-related topics.
The events emerged as a resounding success, fostering fruitful connections and propelling participants toward new horizons in navigating the future of work.
Here are some highlights from ASW’s Melbourne and Sydney Partnership Events.
Melbourne, 24 May
ASW kicked off their Partnership Events at The Bank on Collins in Melbourne, with ASW CEO Joe Fussell giving the opening speech. Guest speaker Simon Clark (LinkedIn Head of Sales, ANZ Mid-Market) shared invaluable information on global talent trends with an Australian lens, the impact of ‘Skills First’ talent acquisition and development, talent predictions for the upcoming 12 months, and Internal Mobility’s benefits for employee retention.
We also invited managers from our client partnerships — Sophie O’Halloran (Cleanaway) and Mark Dal Pozzo (COG Financial Services) — to be our panellists as they shared how they have successfully integrated their international teams to support their business expansion.
ASW GM for Business Development Daniel Breese, Director of Talent Sarah Lourie, GM for Account Management Rebecca Newell, GM for Corporate Services and Client Onboarding Michelle Fung, and Client Onboarding Specialist Tara Stanton were also present during the Melbourne event.
We’d like to congratulate Nick Reilly of Inovayt who won our grand raffle prize: a weekend getaway at Kangaroo Ridge Retreat!

Sydney, 31 May
The following week, ASW held their next Partnership Event at the Cruise Bar in Sydney.
Our LinkedIn guest speakers were Sales Leaders Rob Chavan and Nicole Butler. There was strong engagement from the audience as Rob delved into macroeconomic data, projections, and Internal Mobility whilst Nicole handled topics on ‘Skills First’ hiring and the benefits of LinkedIn Learnings.
This time around, our panellists from our client partnerships included Holly Williams (Bizcover), Sarah Robertson (Device Technologies), and Quillan Allanson (Property Beyond) as they shared their own successful experiences in building international teams.
Amazing attendance! More than 70 client partners and colleagues were present to support our growing community!
Congratulations to Javed Kahn of Leading Edge for winning our grand prize raffle: a weekend getaway at Echoes Boutique Hotel and Restaurant!
